The lack of a rubber contact surface would concern me

Interesting you say this.. I'm more concerned about rubber on the stock ones? LOL..The lack of a rubber contact surface would concern me
Thoughts?
I have read in the forums over the years that the straight aluminum is hard on the track. Running studs with these wheels is worse.

I've seen the issue of the upper plastic wheels on the Phazer. They would freeze and wind up with a flat spot. It is/was a common problem. We tried everything like machining Venture Lite/MP upper wheels to accept the proper bearing to eventually finding a compatible rubber wheel (from Arctic Cat) and that problem never came back.

I have slight concerns myself with what you mention.. ONLY reason I feel these will work is I have been running JT 4 wheel kits for well over 30K over the years and never had issues and stud more then most on this site.. 200+ on current sled with 11500 miles and running hard PLASTIC wheels in back of sled and I know this area gets some force applied to wheels.. The wheels do fine, yes they get/appear beat up slightly after 10K . I would think the wheels on the outside of rails have slightly less force then the rear? Well I ordered 4 of them and will report back next season on these. The stock wheels suckI have read in the forums over the years that the straight aluminum is hard on the track. Running studs with these wheels is worse.

i ran those on my rx war and still do on my 11 apex xtx. bro took them off the war and gave them back to me. been on my apex at least 16000 mi. finally have a few that the bearings will not sit in tight on the idlers. they have worn pretty well and do get more snow into the rear suspension than the kimpex oversize apex wheels. my only beef with them really is the bearings as there is 2 per idler wheel and they are extremely oddball and hard to come by. best price i can get them for is about $15.00 per bearing for the apex/rx1/nitro set up. do not own a winder or sr viper so i cannot say for those sleds. i only run them on the outside of the rail and i do not run studs.

Anyone needs Black & red my buddy has a set of mid and rears from his 17 Tcat. Sled got written off and he replaced them with stock.
PM if interested.

Steiner these are plastic not aluminum. But the large space makes me wonder if they will be on with rocks impacts and studs and things too. I’ve def been considering it. I know the jt wheels is a good strong material but these do look a lot better and have a function.

Slydog is about 70 miles from us, locally made in South Dakota. The owners are great guys who are snowmobilers at heart. The wheels have held up very well for us over the years.
