I was cleaning my sled today and I noticed the plastic above the headlight was loose on one side. I tried pushing it back into place but it didn't seem like it wanted to go in. I was afraid I may crack something if I try any harder. So my question is are these things hard to put back in place or is there a certain way to do it? Thought I would ask before I break something and have to buy more parts.

There are two tabs at the front that fit into the plastic and two push in plastic stubs at the back that push into grommets inserted into the plastic. Remove the part by pulling straight up on the back part of the shroud. Use some sand paper and remove a small amount of the plastic so it's easier to push it into the grommets. Grease the plastic studs before re- installing, they are know to break off on removal.

Thanks I never thought on greasing it :o| It was already unhooked from one grommet when I bought it so I wasn't sure if I was doing it wrong or not thanks! ;)!

I use high temp silicone brake grease on my grommets and they still come out with the pins every time I pull off the headlamp cover. It is just not the best design.
