Just thought I'd share this!!
I did back to back rides with the header/performance muffler tunes and the stock exhaust manifold /performance muffler tunes!
I decided to put the stock exhaust manifold back on for our northern trip next week since we are doing some big kms
And wow it's a very noticeable difference!!
With the header and header tunes my sled is a complete animal to the point where I had sore hands for holding on when you smash the throttle!!

Why did you remove the header for the trip?
Is it not reliable enough?

To be honest there was a thread here a few weeks ago that got me paranoid!!!lol so I was thinking since I was running far north doing 1500km in 3 days I would stick stock header on!!Why did you remove the header for the trip?
Is it not reliable enough?
But after 1000km riding when I pulled it apart everything was perfect! Header is going back on once back! I plan on adding header wrap to it and leaving it on permanently
It was actually cool to try both set ups back to back you really get a feel for the performance difference

The fuel requirements are the same as the pm tunes (94 for the big tune) I was running 93 with half a bottle of vp octanium or torco!Hey sounds like I will be going this route next year what octane is needed for max tune with header and pm also is there any more power upgrades available for trail riders
Only upgrades need if going from the pm tunes is the header and reflash!!
I think this is the limit for trail guys as far as power upgrades!!

Do you know what hp rating is on the big tune. Also what's different with bigger tunes I heard instant throttle response etc

From what Dave said at 17lbs you are around 300
On the big tune I am not sure but it pulls freeken hard especially at mid. I was seeing 2 lbs less on 300tune vs stock header. I believe due to efficiency
