we lined up for a 600 meters race, two times we raced and the same result both times! from start to about 90 kmh it was close, apex one lenght in front after 90 kmh it was huge difference, and rev was left in snowdust!! finished at about 20-30 meters ahead of the rev!
i was happy with the result! would think the rev with about same hp numbers as the apex would put up a better fight..

raced 05 800 MX ZX..no problem Lots of sleds are fast but there are only a couple that have a fat torque curve that constantly makes you smile!

yea... the 800r is supposed to be a fast motor... and even faster at eating cranks than the previous motors from what i've read on dootalk.

My bud has a rev mxz 800, sure I can smoke him in a drag race. But in the twisties? he will eat me up and spit me out. That rev hooks up great. My apex with 96 piks just spins. He has 48 piks and hooks up because of his high torgue curve. With my RTX, it's pulls so hard down low? all I do is spin. But of course the lower weight and agility of the rev, makes mince meat out of my RTX on tight trails. I'll instal a 13mm sway bar for next year, that will help, but I'm sure I still can't stay with him. it's 479 pounds to 640 pounds. Just the way it is. But I won't give up my Yammi for a rev, No way in hell!!!!!

It's all in chassis setup... My apex GT can by far outhandle a rev in tight turns with c&A skis and 10" carbides. loosen up your preload on front springs Turn your compression knob 3 tuns front hardest, min transfer, 160 studs and it rails like a slot car. Would like to try a 13mm torsion bar..
