Well that was a nice dumping of snow we received. 51.2cm in 14 hours. And if we get the snow they are predicting for the next 8 days it will be another 35cm.
I think I will keep doing the snow dance.
I think another trip to the cabin is in order

How did your machine handle this stuff? On the trails, the groomer hadn't come by yet and I was basically breaking trail constantly. Was pleasantly surprised at how I didn't get stuck but a lot of throttle work helped with that.

Rusty handled it well. I have learned how to manipulate the throttle and keep the machine floating. I find even with the tuner skis it is not bad in the powder. Just no sudden turns or stops.
I love the MP. Have wood stove and furnace to haul up to cabin next weekend and I am sure rusty will handle it with ease.

Had fun in fresh powder on the river yesterday. I tried different sleds, New BRP Renegade 600 etec, older Polaris IQ touring 4 stroke, my Apex LTX and of course had to bring my kids Snow Scoot out to try.

I find the Apex is like a tank. Heavy so hard to turn but full torque and lots of power. Better for going straight in these condition. The other two you can tell right away they are 200lbs lighter as the front is easier to get up on the snow. But the back doesn't push you as much. I am bias but I preferred my Apex for long powder rides on the river.

Oh and the Snow Scoot was the most fun of all of them.

Very cool that you guys are getting out. You got more snow out of that dump than I will see all year, but I have been riding for three months so I don't expect any sympathy. Anyway, I encourage you to make the most of it ... take some days off ... contract a highly contagious disease(mumps works).

Yeah, lots of snow but there is such a thing as too much. Heard the groomers were having a hard time and overheating in this stuff and right now, the trails are as much fun as a root canal. So sore after riding the past couple of days. I might head out today towards Alexandria as their trails are showing green so may be in better shape.

Oh, and we're getting 5-10cm tonight before it switches to rain tomorrow.

A trail towards Alexandria has to be groomed by now. Really hate that you can't tell if green means groomed and when. No local club website with constant updates like Quebec clubs. First time I buy my Ontario pass this year. Probably the last. I'll do the 50$ for two days thing instead. If they can't start grooming the night after a snow fall...
