First of all don't get me wrong I love the top speed of my 03 rx1, but here is my problem. On the lake with packed loose snow I get 107-109 on speedo. On hard packed I get between 115-118mph. On ice I can run from 124-132mph. I would love to get more spped on loose packed snow. A friend of mine has an 2003 edge x 70 that is fast. On the lake, on snow we are very close to even, but on ice he can't even come close.I need more speed in snow. By the way I run an 05 f-7 this weekend on ice and had no problem I always wondered the out come. Any help would be great

I think to gain from where you are now your just plain going to need more hp.
In the ECP section thier is a post on getting a few more degrees of timing for a 2 to 3 hp gain. You could have someone degree your cams in also.
Other than that get out the wallet for ,nos, porting, high compression pistons, aftermarket cams etc.

That is what I was thinking also but not what I wanted to here lol.Is there any suspension adjustment for better transfer to help with the drag of the snow conditions? Thanks

Im not real familiar with the 03 suspension but I think there was aftermarket adjustable rods to get more ski lift.

So to get more ski lift , you would tighten the transfer rods correct?

Your speeds match those of my bone stock 03RX1. Interesting how these sleds wake up on ice isn't it. To answer your question, it will never roll in snow like it does on the ice unless you increase your HP by alot.

Yamaha track approach angle steep.
Have not been known for their speed perfomance on snow.
My Warrior will walk a 800 Doo on hardpack or ice. On snow,
He walks me.
