Anybody know of a longer snow flap for the sidewinder?
My sled has a 1.75 lug track on it and it throws so much snow the people I ride with cannot see my tail light.
This is a safety issue for me so if I can't find a longer flap I will have to extend mine.
Stock snow flap is 21" tall.
Looking for one that is 8-10" taller. I want it to just about drag on the trail when riding.

Thanks

Proven design products will make custom flaps. Give them a shout.

I would love a flap that does not connect to bumper. I forgot how much I hated this design from the cat days....We need a special two prong lift, so I had to buy a new bumper jack, and when stuck, trying to get a good lift on this bumper sucks as you cannot grab from center. And when strapping down the sled on trailer, same thing...you cannot center the strap like other sleds.

I would love a flap that does not connect to bumper at all, but it would have to be stiff enough not to flop down into track when reversing.

PDP has some nice flaps that were just released...going to email them to see if these still attach to the bumper. Too bad no YAMAHA logos yet, but LOTS of other logos for cat and strippers.lol

That is their Mountain flap....

I emailed them, asking about their new design flap for procross....But at 18" its shorter then the stocker. But it may lay closer to the track im thinking, as it does not look to hook to bumper. So it may actually be closer to ground in the end. Will see what they say in reply.

Going to be worth a phone call to proven design to see what they offer besides what is on their website.
Is there and molded flaps out there like the stock one but longer?
The only time I use reverse is at home or gas stations so backing over it won't be an issue for me.

I might just have to buy a semi mud flap and cut one out of that!

When your ripping down the trail with a 1.75 lug track it looks like a jet boat going across the lake!
In the lake effect snow belt area where I live and ride it's an awesome track for trail riding. Studs would be useless here.

That awesome! I can only imagine. I like jumping off trail as often as possible and that's why i almost went Sidewinder XTX. The shocks however put me in an LTX LE! Good luck with the search for a safe alternative mud flap for your riding buddies! Hell i think they would probly pitch in and buy it for you! Lol!

Ordered the Proven Designs 28" race snow flap.
Thanks for the info!

Sled is sitting on rollers. The snow flap just touches the ground when not on rollers.
