just took my airbox apart from last wekends ride, it ran like crap on the way back home, very cold lots of powder riding. The bottom of my filter in the airbox was just filled right up with snow, after i melted it i noticed that it had no where for the water or snow to go when it melted. It just puddles on the bottom of the airbox, cant figure this one out?? why is there that much snow getting in thgere.also i had it warming and it was running with the airbox off, i noticed it would pop and spit out of the 2 cylinder through the carb, i wonder if i have a bad plug now that it was running with a pluged airbox. thanks whopp

SNOW IN AIRBOX IS NORMAL, I HAD A HUGE PROBLEM WITH IT THIS YEAR AND HAD MUCH BETTER RESULTS WITH ECP FILTER SETUP. IF YOU RUN WITHOUT AIRBOX IT WILL RUN LIKE CRAP !

I ran through powder with my warrior sometimes 2-3' this week and not a problem with snow..I checked my filter and it had one little wet/ice spot in the corner. My buddy on a viper was amazed at how free of snow I was and he had a lap full and a plugged air filter.

RX-1 and Warrior have same airbox, if you punch thorugh a lot of snow and I mean coming over the hood and getting in the hood intakes it will fill the belly pan up with snow and the snorkel for the airbox will suck up snow eventually and the motor will run very poorly as a result of no airflow.

Anyone make hood prefilters?
I had same problem this weekend with snow. Filter was completely plugged with snow.

have been covering inside of hood vents with black nylon screen for years--keeps out loose snow.
