Snow is on the way....check your trailer now....

After you spent good money on all new wiring you'll want to keep it. That's what happened to me. After all the hours doing maintenance/repair on it this year I decided to keep it.

Phatboyc tells it like it is.... ;)!

If you do plan on buying a new or new/used trailer.....do some shopping around. I had to drive to Indiana to pick up my new trailer. Cost me $160 in diesel fuel, 14 hours of my day and $30 bucks in food, but I saved $3,000.00 purchasing the trailer from a small dealer who works one on one with the manufacturer.

So you planning on bringing the whole fam damnly plus furniture? God only knows you'd have room in THAT sucker......:jump:

;)!

I needed more room :)

I inspected my 27' enclosed trailer. Following the 2x8 tube tongue support frame I notice it stopped before getting near axles by 2' leaving just the 2x3 side end tubes supporting the whole trailer and it bent. After a trip to Florida behind my 3500 the side door and front ramp were binding, bad like from door 1 inch and would not open. I ended up blocking it up, bending it back by using the weight and force of my skid steer until the doors open again. Then jacked into place another (2) 2x8x10' extending the tongue frame back to the axles. Aluminum mig weld it in. Also, check lug nuts on trailer and truck terry!

What brand trailer do you have? What model year? Did you have a heavy load toward the front of your trailer on that trip? Curious why it happened, glad you were able to beef it up! Let it snow!!!

That's were I ended up from MN, my wife thought I was nuts to drive to Indiana, BUT for 3,000$ I will drive that far and that was the difference in price for the EXACT same trailer locally.

It was maddening at the time but funny now.

I went check book in hand to the local guy I had met with two times. Fortunately he was gone.

So I ask the young punk covering Saturday morning, "Why should I buy your trailer over a Stealth etc." . He mouths off, "we just sell them we don't make them", if you want to know how they are made call Neo Mfg. or look them up on line. So I left, drove the 2 hrs. back home check book still in my pocket. Called Neo they gave me the information, listed Johns Trailer sales in Middlebury IN. as the factory rep dealership. They offered me the same trailer (26x7 flattop) decked out like the original for 3k less- the Milwaukee show price he said. Left my card # for 200$ and was on my way the next weekend. I am sure if the owner I had dealt with before was at the local dealer I would have bought locally with out ever knowing.

I also spent 200 bucks to go 7 ft tall to fit my garden tractor with cab and future Side by Sides. Have to admit looks ridiculously tall BUT nice to walk around in and not hit my head.

Thanks again Terry now I don't have to feel bad or take crap about having the BIG trailer. I can say hey, my buddy Terry has a much bigger one.
