Not much of an issue if you only have to change em every 18,000 klicks.
Doubt you would get 1/3 of that with the Doo ones.

Tend to ride pretty aggresive & will ride very marginal conditions with occasional rocks.
(No Snow Prima Donna here... lol)
They(I) have whacked rocks at some serious speeds.
(Worst case, figure I can always straighten them back with a big crescent wrench, but haven't had to yet.)
(Kinda funny, have gotten pretty good at sending rocks flying off the trail, I hit them with just the edge of my ski & off they fly! lol)

Hence your name (LOL)!!

I have tried the Semi aggresive Snowtrackers on my Phazer and Attack, and was not very impressed. I found that in soft or deep snow they are horrible, and cause excessive push since the plate increases keel width. Once on hardpack they worked well, but caused a pitch condition during hard accelleration thru corners, which was evidient on both machines.
My conclusion is they are well suited to those who travel at slower speeds, since they work well on hardpack, and virtually eliminate darting. For riders who want a good handling and bite in various conditions have to look elsewhere.
So far the best ski I have tried is the Slydog with studboy shapers, although the ski is not very tough and the shapers tend to break in the middle, they provide good characterisitcs in many different conditions. I currently am trying the Pilots (5.9 I think) and so far they have been very good on the Phazer......

I agree semie aggresive are not all that great maybe on hard pack trails.
The extreme ones a re the way to go they make a huge difference in every type of conditions.
The harder you corner and drive the machine the better it will handle with the exremes !
