Time to upgrade my wife’s sled. Coming off a 16 Apex XTX with 2nd gen shock. She tried a 19 Viper this winter for 300 miles and wants more power. So it looks like another Sidewinder for us. Considered a SRX for the lowered ride height, but probably leaning towards the GT, better windshield, still has qs3’s and she likes the red over black. Says the black makes it look too much like a Thundercat! Ha! The prices I’ve got from my dealer are higher than Cat’s pre-season pricing, but the acc $ & 5 year Y.E.S. pretty much even things out.

Not only evens out the $, but how long is Cat going to support the 9000 and 7000 motors? My understanding is by law they are required to support for 5 years from the model year the product was taken out of production?

Not very encouraging, over 400 views and only maybe 2-3 saying their going to snowcheck........

Maybe the better question is who is going to be buying a new sled this year. I think overall year after year new sled sales have dropped off. The price of a new sled, any brand is high for a 3 month season. The four stroke sleds just keep going, the resale is a hit to take unless you have disposable income. I am 5 years from retirement, my wife does not work and I have two houses to keep up and maintain. The low miles my sleds have it will be years before another purchase and it will not be new, 5k hit when take it out of the showroom seems steep price to pay. For those who can upgrade that is great, I think 2020 has some nice offerings, and 2021 may even have better offerings for us.

Really not much to gain for those that already have sidewinders and vipers and limited color offerings make it even less enticing. I can write off a new sled as an R&D expense, and even I am having a hard time buying a 2020. I'm looking hard at a skidoo as I have had several people inquire about me making an MPS kit for them.

I spring ordered my 19 SRX last year and I was hoping to spring order for my wife this year. Looks like she will be riding a ski doo 900Turbo. Out the door at $12,270.56. I never thought I would buy new something other than Yamaha but they have gotten crazy with their pricing. She doesnt need a sidewinder and there wasnt anything else yamaha had that fit her riding style and that she liked the looks of.

2020 Renegade 900T Ace has a MSRP of 13,599 (cheapest one on there) and with tax, freight, prep, doc fees they are loosing a lot of money OTD at 12.270 Good for you, bad for dealers bottom line or are you getting a 2019 left over which make sense as they need to clear them to save on storage.

Hey travis speaking of your power steering kit , will it work with the 2020 SRX seeing how the front suspension has changed a bit

Won't know until I get my hands on a 2020 spindle. Thinking I might have to design another version for the new spindle.

yep at Krupps in edwardsburg hard to say no to 2019 with big discounts. Correct he wants them gone. I tried getting him to hold it until fall but they wouldnt. You can get a 850 for $9700 but I like the 4 stroke.

Pulled the trigger this afternoon, my wife’s Sidewinder GT on order! Happy wife, Happy life!
