How much faster do you think the Apex GT/RTX will be than an '05 RX1? I'm mostly curious about top end. I don't like getting passed.

I believe that someone said that Mr. Sled got the Apex going 1** mph on the speedo. When i rode my dads 05 RX1 it would get to 120.

I've seen 135 on my speedo. That is absolutely NO INDICATION. Only the gun will tell.

Top speed is so dependent on conditions. The only thing you can do to compare is to run the two sleds on the same track on the same day within minutes of each other. Other than that, any changes in conditions affect top end speed.

speed
Ok, maybe I should ask this question instead since it's the real issue. Other than a turbo, what can I do to make sure my buddies don't pass me (assuming thier Apexs will be stock and they won't modify them.) Be exact now. What kit, clutching, exhaust, etc? Or do I just try calling the speedshop again (I think Matt must be gone lately as I've tried calling a couple of times w/no response.)

A CPR air kit would probably put you in the same ballpark as a stock apex. Other than that, the only thing you can really do (besides turbo or supercharger) is porting, cams, etc.

ECP air kit doesn't gain on top. CPR airkit does. Its said to give 10 hp to the track over stock, which is more than the 8 difference in the stock motors. There aren't many CPR kits around yet, they likely compared APEX to ECP, which is a much older kit.

CPR kit
Does Matt sell the CPR kit? I'd like a 10hp increase.

The Apex will beat a RX1 with the Air Kit, ...that all I can say...
Who said 128...I never gave any numbers....

Regardless of the numbers....... A stock '03 cannot beat the Apex whether its out of the hole, midrange, or top end. Apex wins, hands down.

Want top end? How about NOS? Cheaper than a turbo! Easier to install. Just a thought.

Re: speed
Most of the folks I know and ride with always seem to be tweaking on their sleds. I like to be different so I leave mine stock now.
