I am a bit of a speed junkie and am curious - anyone seen any numbers on top speed for a stage 2 bender setup. We do a lot of lake running in MN.

Should I expect to see 125-130 mph at sea level, is that high or low??

Also, what is a reasonable price on 2 stage 2 setups? It seems like $4300 is the norm or am I missing out on something?

130 mph is definitely on the low side. Most turbos are around 130 in the quarter mile, so you can imagine what top end is.

jtssxr - 165?? really? I know Bender is braggin about 165+ mph with there stage 3 on asphalt. So it would suprise me that a stage 2 would hit 160+ but I am new to this so maybe I am missing something.

Remeber thats on the Speedo. I've hit 137 on the speedo with my stocker. So 165 with 100 plus more hp is not hard to do. Side note they said it was very unstable at those speeds. They said it was very dangerous.

I guess I should have asked for real world - I know the stocker will hit around 115 give or take a few real world on a long run - just trying to figure out what $4500 will get me with reliability - was hopin to see a number in the 130 range (real world).

Buster 696 is running like 135 in the 1/4 mile with his CPR turbo. I'd say 135 to 140 mph acctual mph in a mile would be very obtainable.

The swedish speedrun record is 159,81 mph with a mc-xpress turbo :flag:
What kind of hp does the bender stage 3 have?

they are saying at Brainerd for the amsnow shootouts it should be pumping over 390 HP I believe. Nice thing - the track is 2 miles from me so I am gonna get to see her run!

Anything less than 130 on radar would be sad. $4500 should be good for at LEAST 25 mph on radar or somebody doesn't know how to clutch.
Reliability isn't really an issue.

You flatlanders are nucking futs! I did 161 in my Vette and it scared me, never did go for 180 like the car was capable of. So how in the he11 can you go 150+ on a sled? Do they start to get unstable at some point?

I had my XC8 pegged for 3-4 miles once on voyagers (probably 110-113 mph real world, speedo said 120) - it is hard to beat that feeling.

On all the lakes in MN there are typically giant roads plowed across the lake for all the ice fisherman - so you get a nice packed smooth run. We usually scout the run before we do that as well.

I would just really like to feel 130+ real world on a sled.

Going that fast is quite a feeling, but the G force getting there is more of a rush.
