Has anyone ever tried strengthening the spindle were the upper a arm attaches by machining a solid peice to fill in the web. I took the spindle off today and noticed the hole was a little egged out. I was thinking why couldnt you machine a solid piece to fill that area in and weld it in place. I was thinking if you threaded it you could eliminate the nut or you could use a longer bolt and nut it lower in the spindle. HAs anyone ever tried this?
Someday when I gtow up I want to be a machinist so I could try this myself. I think I will see what my machinist will charge me for something like that.
What do you guys think, it either try that or go ZBroz

Welcome to the site! I started a new topic on this issue a couple of weeks ago. You can see that another user spent $65 to have the area welded. Here is the link

I still think more than 11 users have had this issue on their sled so if you haven't voted yet please do so. Thanks!

i put longer bolts in and put 2 nuts and washers on each bolt for extra support. seemed to work pretty good but only used it for one ride while i waited for my zbroz kit to get shipped.
