Hi Folks! New to ty4stroke and back to sleding after 20 years!. I recently bought a 2010 Nytro XTX with split rail skis. The bushings (and possible worse) are worn out so I need to get the spindles apart to asess but I don't have the special tool needed. Any ideas on how to remove and if there is some kind of retro fit bushing and bolt kit available? Cheers. Grant.

Travis (@hibshman25) of Barn of Parts makes a spindle bushing kit for the Nytro's and Phazer's.

As for removing the two split collars, here's a post @grizztracks made that went over how he removed them.![]()
I think everything is different when talking the split rail ski system because they use a completely different than OEM spindle.

Was not aware of the split rail ski system and just thought the OP had meant the split collars. Now it makes sense needing special tool. Tx.I think everything is different when talking the split rail ski system because they use a completely different than OEM spindle.

You should look up the gentleman that started split rail. Rob - i think his name is. He also owns confederation log homes (I think). He made a special tool to take them apart. At first he had wrench type handles with the three prongs. Then he made a fitting that inserted into a socket.
I sold mine when with the skis.
Perhaps someone close to you has them and you can borrow.
I will say this - taking them apart was a pain in the #*$&@. I often wished it was a simple nut and bolt.
Good luck
