Are you talking about the Yammie ski? I have read the new ski from Yamaha is good for trail but not so good for off trail. You can tune the Yamaha ski for your liking on trail. I was looking at it as it is cheap to buy Vs Simmons $$$$. But I ride the ditches and off trail more than trail. So probably not for me.

The Split Rails make steering effort much lighter.
Cant say anything about the Simmons.
On trails, the Split Rails cut through the snow, and don't ride up on it - so steering is very precise and little push is created in corners.

X2 on the split rail. I like them for playing off trail also.
I have about 15,000km on them now and have only replaced 2 carbides out four.
