Well Back to Yamaha after switching brands in 2010.
I spring ordered the LTX-SE (blue) with Turbo. Does anyone have any insight into the Yamaha $600 Parts and Accessories?
While the sled is having Turbo installed I want to have dealer install 21/41 gears w/chain. I’d like to use part of my $600 but have no idea when or how I will receive it.
Any insights?

I'm doing the same thing. Not sure about the 600 dollar for gear and sprockets. I can't see why not.

Did you decide what your doing for clutching?


Most dealers give the $600 off the price you paid as a discount. So I would ask if it has already been taken off.

if they did not keep it, then you can use it at the dealer for anything you want. I just got a nice letter from Yamaha Canada saying that they have reduced the price of the MPI turbo to $2400 from 3K Canadian in an attempt to get more people to order turbos. I already got a great deal on mine but I will gladly take the $600 they are giving me.

Dealer indicated they will clutch with Magna Force Adjustable weights (not sure what else). I'm gonna have them install boost and AFR gauges, and change gearing as well. I spoke to them about throwing it on dyno (be cool to get real world number) after install. Be cool to have a dyno sheet to hang in the garage plus make sure I'm getting my 170-180 hp.Did you decide what your doing for clutching?

I would be on for that. I was going to have Ulmer take the MPI stage 1 out of my 14 and install it in the 15 then go massive on the 14 with the CAT turbo at 20#'s of boost since that motor is already built with low comp pistons, studs and carillo rods. But $2,400.00 + clutching would be more enticing. And just leave the 14 at 13#'s of boost for now.

No machining needed. They are screws and washers with three positions. Simple plug and play. I am setting them up with the set up that Ulmer recommends for the Turbo.
