well i was going over the wifes apex today for a matanince .she has been saying it rides poor can not ride the ruff to good, bounces all over. it is a apex er and she can turn the ra up to hard and it still bounces . well i thought i would pull shock and put on secound clip as i was running on #6 cam and clip #1 well after i removed shock i noticed very bad rub wear marks on the shock body right down to a o-ring that looks like where the shock body screws together? . well i took spring off and it still has a gas charge in it because i could not compress the shock, but when i changed to #2 clip and cam #3 and reinstalled the sled just bounces when jumping on the running boards like there is absouloutly no damping to it , it is completly diff than my apex er mine does not spring up like her`s . it is like she has no damping effect. is it possible to have leaked fluid and not gas??? anyone else have this problem or know what would cause the bind.

guess no one else has seen this ? i thought i seen pic`s here and had read about it, might of been on the rx-1 ,did a search but no luck, damm i wish i new what caused the bind between the shock body and the spring sure made a mess of the shock.

sounds like the shock is toast get a new one on the warrentie .
