ST-X DX suspension to harsh

I have a suspension question on a 2015 Viper ST-X DX with the Fox Float rear shock. I wegh about 175 with gear on, and the sled is really stiff in the bumps. If I drop the PSI to about 120psi, it starts to get soft enough to absorb some of the bumps, but sits so low I can't back up on trail or back out of trailer without eating my snow-flap.
My buddies are cruising through the same bumps sitting while I'm getting bounced around. I softened the front coil-over ski shocks all the way, but haven't touched the front skid coil-shock yet.
Any ideas?

You are right I have red stx same thing on hard snow

Soften the center shock in the ski first..take off about 1/2 of spring preload.

I talked to the Yamaha rep at Hay Days this fall about the suspension set up on my 15 STX DX. I was getting bucked by rear suspension in the shutter bumps. I'm a big guy, 300+ with riding gear, but the set up theory should be similar. He told me to add the same amount of preload to fronts as the center coil over and reduce the pressure in the Fox Float (I was at 175psi he said to reduce to 145psi). He said to increase preload in 1/4" increments, document measurements, test drive and record ride results. Make another change and repeat until you find what works best for you. I went from almost zero preload and 175psi to 5/8" preload and 150psi. What a difference no more riding the bucking bronco and it doesn't push in corners as much.

Baahhh is what I thought of my'15 stxdx my '99 rides better! Honest all winter last I could not find a spot where I could say that rear end was at all comfortable, my back took a #*$&@ kicking, all I think is a hyd./coil would probably be better and sure as hell I am not spending a pile of cash on a conversion. This is why I bought a new sled thinking I'd get into a better ride!!!!

I wonder if that Hygear linkage would work on STXDX? Sure sounds like that's what you guys need.

It will on 2015's with the float/mountain skid

Hygear linkage is the only way I could find to get Air shocks to not ride like a tank.
