My starter worked fine, too until the last 2 times I tried to start it. It sounded funny the first time and didn't start at all the second. It just made a high-pitched whine when I turned the key. I thought it was the relay at first, but when I jumped it with a screwdriver, it did nothing. Took the subframe off, rebuilt the starter with loctite on the bolts and put it back together with no more worries.

Ya mine is barely turning. Its turned pretty good with out load on it but now that its in the sled, it doesn't do dick all. Is there a thread of anyone actually taking the starter apart and showing a brush replace?

Maybe the battery? If you have been trying repeated starts with no charge times it may not be bale to turn the sled over.

I agree.Get battery load tested or do a load test yourself with a voltmeter on batt terminals and crank sled.If voltage drops much below 11v batt is junk.A low battery also will make relay flutter like you said it did.

Good to hear, so what happened with code 11?

Code 11 seemed to fix itself when I put my sled back together
