I am attempting to remove the side cover on the engine to replace the stator
2015 Viper MTX
Oil drained
Exhaust removed
Lower oil line removed
Frame brace removed
Allen bolts removed around the perimeter of the side cover.
Side cover is loose but does not want to come free. I am scared to simply pull harder. Is seems hung up at the bottom. Does the oil line have to be lined up inside with a friction fit?

Your fighting the magnets in the flywheel. It take quite a bit of “pull”. Likewise, watch your fingers when reinstalling.

Thank you. That makes sense as it feels like something is pulling.
I will pull harder in the morning

Magnets are pretty strong.
Stator is out. As predicted there is part of a tooth missing from the starter reduction gear and the stator is chewed up.
