Well as a good old member and a loyal Yamaha man I still have to say that I am still speechless.. .

Until recently I hadn't realized how stupid and idiotic the values in my life were.

Cause, this new Arctic Cat deal is killing me.

Well thanks for the wakeup Yamaha, I will try to be less selfish in the future and focus on other things then sleds.

Winters are getting worse and worse, little snow. Might aswell quit snowmobiling.

Like Marlboro Man (Robert) said to his girlfriend "You have been the better part of my life" , well thats how I feel about Yamaha.

Throught my entire childhood it`s always been Yamaha and now it is all over.

Well I guess this is when I should hit the delete button and dont post this stupid thread but we can all make mistakes, and Yamaha I will forgive you if you introduce only OEM models next year!

:yam:

I can't wait to see the source of all of the controversy next week at the preview in Novi. It can't be as bad as everybody is trying to make it. If you don't like it, don't buy it. And by the way, I have two APEX leftovers, fresh this season, so I am probably not a prospect for one of these things, either.

God I can't wait till p stop complaining about this Yamaha arctic cat deal. I'm tired of reading about it already. Get over it. It happened if you dont like it keep the sled you have.

Could be one of the reasons Yamaha did this?
Every year it seem more and more are leaving the sport due to various reasons and low snow is one of them (this yr is an expection but I hope it continues?)

Look at the other manu's, no one really came out with anything special and I don't blame them for not sinking a ton of money in R&D or a new sled. JMO

Lots of snow in the mountains, as usual. It'd be nice if Yamaha would pull their heads out and build a sled that works in them. Gave up holding my breath on that, though...

i could not agree more i to am tired of hearing about it if you dont like the new sled either keep your old one or go to a different manufacture...

Well I did say that this is a stupid thread but I just couldnt help it.

For some reason I think the brand wars are much more serious here in Norway.

People are different, some dont care about what brand they ride and some get attached to their brand and stick to it.

The quality feel, reliability and design of Yamaha have been leading the business for several Years.
The stock sleds haven't been in the top when it comes to high marking but so what.

Having had so many great times on a Yamaha snowmobile and also having seen the frustration of friends being towed back home on the other brands, and also my own frustration since I am the local sled mechanic, I just can't help it.

I do understand that I have a strong opinion on this matter and to be honest I think you should respect that.

I hope the new Arctic Cat will rule the sales this year and wakeup the Yamaha engineers, inspiring them to make a new OEM Yamaha snowmobile!

Have said it on here before diehard brand loyalty makes you miss out on some really cool machines. I have owned or tried them all. Have gravitated towards Yam because they always do things a bit different which I like. But if brand X Y or Z makes something I like I will buy it.
Also, I am waiting until we have PRODUCTION (not hand built protos) sleds on snow next year before I judge. ;)!

I respect your loyalty and im kinda in the same boat but like others have said it will bite you in the end. The reality is its just a job to them. I have stood along the side of a lot of racetracks for years rooting for the ghostrider that wears blue. I feel really foolish now.

So what you are saying is there's other things that are more important in life ;)!
