Stock Airbox Mod

So I have read through all the posts about the airbox mod, most of which are modded further. I did see some that said they thought there would be increases if you are otherwise stock, but nothing confirmed. So my questions are, is this mod worth doing if you are planning on staying otherwise 100% stock?

Also, what was the end result of the diverter tab? Is the best case just to heat it up and bend it?
