Just started looking over the 2025 LTX LE that we got a month or so ago (no run time yet). I have some questions regarding the stock airbox. My 17 has a CAI and I can't remember how the stock airbox was.

1. I am planning on bypassing the ROV and lust looping a piece of hose to end up by the bottom of the chaincase. This is what I did with my 17 also. I don't want any oil vapor in the intake. What are most doing with the hole in the airbox?

2. What is done with the other, smaller hose? Leave it there?

3. I found that this airbox was only fastened with 1 screw in the middle hole... but there are 3 holes (screw is removed in the pic). Are they usually fastened with all 3?

My 25 also had only 1 screw holding it in place, that's how they come now according to the dealer and the microfiche. I added the additional 2

Plug hole with a plastic hole plug (can get at most hardware stores) from outside.
The other hose is breather hose from valve cover. That stays.

Any idea why there was only 1 screw in the bottom of the box even though there is provisions for 3? Is that normal on the newer sleds?

Often all 3 don't line up ao the factory went to only installing 1 instead of fixing the real problem. Just shameful.

OK. Thanks. I ordered 2 more screws since they were cheap. I guess we'll see if I can install all 3.

Plug top or bottom one?

Whichever one is for ROV. You said you're gonna bypass? That means you'll be removing one if those hoses that goes into air box. I think it's the larger one.

Yes, I am bypassing the whole ROV system and will be looping a hose off the oil tank up and then down to the area by the chaincase. The large hose will not be in the airbox anymore. I am not sure what the small hose is for.

Small hose comes from valve cover and serves as a crankcase breather. When putting a CAI, I put a filter on this hose, so it can breathe, but won't make a mess

OK. I'll probably just leave that one there then. I am probably going to put a tune on it eventually... but stick with the stock intake.
