As a new Attak owner I was wondering what you Attak guys out there are pulling on radar? I saw a demo from my local dealer pull 112mph on radar and I was impressed.

Attack

Real world - hard packed lake 118mph indicated on speedo (seat o pants speedo w/ years of lake racing said 105mph). Not near as fast on the top end as people think (however; they pull like a freight train on the trails)!

XCR5, I have seen 126 on my 06 GT on a groomed trail in the spring time when the slow was limited. You should be getting better than that.

Attack

Not even going to go there - we ran an ER and an Attack in our group and the two yamahas ran side by side (approx. 118mph indicated on speedo). Also ran several other sleds against the Apex's and they are no where near the indicated top speeds of the speedos. The yamaha speedo is WAY off real world speeds which is BS as yamaha has the technology to make an accurate speedo.

I'm not talking about the accuracy of the speedo. We all know they are off, but it's safe to say that they are all off by the same amount. Not every speedo is different from the Yamaha camp. I'm still saying you should be getting a little better than than that. I have seen guys running 131-133 on the dreameter on the RX-1's.

My RX1 136" had more top end than my Attak but it was not stock. The Attak on radar should be 112-117 on radar, mine was high 120s on speedo basically stock with picks. Don't judge until you are near 2000 miles on odometer.

Apex

Yea - and my duramax will get better mileage after 50,000 when it's broken in also (not). 60k on the duramax, mileage actually creeping down, none of the apex's I know of ever saw over 120mph on the dream meter. All I know is the MachZ's go by the apex on the top end like you dropped a plug. First hand experience running run after run after run supports my findings.

Think snow!

On my Apex after I added the Attak gear and secondary spring, SLP wear pads, skidoo bogey wheels and ran my track looser, I jumped to 112 GPS which is like 126 speedo reading. Hope that helps. Prior to doing that I was 107-108 ish GPS

I ride a 06 rtx stock clutching and gearing 144 studs. I have seen 125mph on the speedo . Long lake run with minimal snow . Ride with a attack and he would pull 122mph on his speedo same conditions same day ! Checked my speedo with a GPS mine was out approx 7mph

That's because they have 20 more hp. No doubt, the Mach will take the Apex on the high end if it is setup right? 0-100 the Apex and the Mach Z are close. 100-110 the Mach Z will start to gain. 110-120 ish is where the Mach should keep pulling. The Apex will keep pulling but a much slower rate. I think on a Lake on good snow packed (rock solid) conditions, you should be able to get a good 115mph on the gun on the Apex.

I have an 06 attak, got it at very end of FEB. Put on 900 miles on then put in a pro line clutch kit.But still no studs yet and on really good lake conditions dream meter was 125-126 on the radar it was 114. We ran a lot of passes and the same speed. So this is what you should see on very good conditions. ;)!

First off, should have bought a Cummins. I usually get between 18 and 20 MPG.. Make sure you are changing you fuel filter and use PSD.
But seriously I saw 127 on the old dreamer last year. This was after I installed the track protector and loosend my track up.
