What's everyone running I have 192 1.450 I know the stock tuner carbides won't be enough? I hear good things about shaper bars? And what's everyone's opinion on the bergtrsom triple points and the cost? Or any other options too thanks

Triple points are nice and last 2 seasons. But I would not spend the $ on them for those skis because in the end I think you would still be unhappy with the skis and hate to see you waste that kinda $ on carbides you wont end up using :D

Put my Tuner III where they belong...in the garbage bin !
Bought C&A XCS with 9¨carbides.

When disposing of Tuner III hardware, keep the inside thick washer as you will need as a spacer.

If you are in groomed trails not to bad considering the lenght. If you are on concrete like for a gas refueling, its no fun. On Ice like a lake, the 9" are just WOW. With C&A you are in control, with Tuner III you are reacting to lost of control.

Never owned Curves skis, so can not comment on that brand. But C&A are good and the best way to know it is to try to look for used ones...that tells you a lot.

Only thing I worry about is I need to measure with both sidewinders in the clam shell it's tight idk how wide I can go yet

curves on both sleds should fit in the trailer in the narrow position with the outside skis as far out as you can get them. Least they do in my Triton tc-11 Ramp door.

Snowtrackers are available for C& As. My experience with the Snowtrackers on my Apex leaves me wanting to try this combo. The Tuner 3s are not great..200 miles on them and I want rid of them.

Will adding more carbide stop tuners from pushing in turns. For example going from stock 4 inchers to 8 inch carbide both sides??

As has been said in a ton of posts you are wasting your time and $ trying to 'tune' the tuners. Get C&A, Curve or Mohawk skis. Just go to the viper section and search for ski posts.

It was mentioned on here that the Mohawks are attached to the sled with the carbides. If carbide breaks the ski comes off. Is this true? Does anyone know for sure? Seems weird.

the carbides have hex bolts for studs...even if the caride broke off the ski remains via the bolt/stud compared to just a stud

I ran c&a's on my 12 procross shorty.. IMHO they are great point and shoot skis...but you will get serious arm pump at lower speeds...supposedly the cure is a set of slim jim duals....but after riding curved keel skis ALA the 5.7 pilots ...Im liking every review I read on the mohawks, with only trail width on the trail and pow width up high...the curved keel ...and the flexibility of the ski vs rigid ski (c&a)...plus a lighter ski vs C&A Im pretty sure for more accurate suspension action..( I.E. closer , maybe less than stock tuners weight)

as to side by side with the mohawks...its been said by others that the wider part can go over the ski of the neighboring sled....the part that is on the floor is trail width...
