2011 Vector LTX
Just bought a 2012 and would like to stud it. Do the issues pertaining to clearance on the 2010 apply to the 2012. Looks like protectors for the heat exchanger are already installed. Just want to make sure they provide enough clearance

Thanks saw that thread. Is there any difference between 2010 tunnel protectors vs 2012 or do I still need to add additional clearance?

I have the same sled and installed studs 2 years ago. I called my dealer about protection and was told I did not need it with that sled. I like to be careful so called another dealer and got the same answer. I put 108 up the middle and have had no problems after more than 13,000 km.

Good luck,

Thanks, Do you recall what length studs you used?
My recollection is 1 3/8 but as Deepwater has suggested your best bet would be to call. I used Woody's and am very happy.

Forgive my error. it was chuckpp who suggested calling. What the heck, I'm a newbie, lol.

fast trac says 1.375.

I would definitely install additional tunnel protection on, we used an set of cut offs from a pair of slides, riveted on to the existing tunnel protectors
