I have used Woody's Mega bites on my last 3 sleds with great results but may try Stainless steel this time around just for the corrosion resistance.
With the ripsaw I went with 126 up the middle only and hookup was awesome
Yes they come with protection from the factory BA Apex

What are your thoughts about 96 Woody signiture series up the middle in a snocross pattern with 6 or 8 in carbides runners? I was thinking about doing this on my RTX.

I would give it a try. Supertraxx (I think that was the mag) tested studs on a zr900 a few seasons back and had the best luck with 96 studs. They seemed to think that if you go with too many studs you don't get the penetration. I took that advice and installed 108 (the same as 96 in a 121 incher) in my Warrior and was very pleased. I eventually added 18 more ( 1 more every 3rd row) and will never go back to more.fourndog said:What are your thoughts about 96 Woody signiture series up the middle in a snocross pattern with 6 or 8 in carbides runners? I studded mine mainly for icy conditions. I like to go fast but also like to stop. I realized this again yesterday in my vette, it gets moving very quickly but takes it's time stopping  She has about 450HP but only has Manual brakes :?
