Is anybody thinking about studding outside too? Seems down the middle is the popular choice. I'm just worried that turning will require a bit more effort unless there is studs on the outside to grab. I'm thinking 120 or 144 in a std woody's pattern both down the middle and sides. Anybody thoughts?

studding on outside makes it harder to turn.
I'm leaning to the 120 in the middle pattern, but my buddy who has a small shop is telling me 144 or 168 inside and out.

I have always studded on the outside and have never torn one out. But I try to be careful and not abuse my track. If you stud on the outside or not is IMO depends on your personal preferences. I don't like the feeling of a loose back end when cornering so I will be installing 144 1.325" Woodys Golddiggers inside and out with 7.5" Shaper bars upfront.
I have never had the 1.25" ripsaw but I think this combination will be balanced and suit my riding style.

Be careful with that 120 pattern, it has studs in the middle of the track which may hit the shock. I am going witht the 144 4-2 pattern so I dont have any studs in the middle of the track.

I've been trying to decide whether to go with 96 up the middle or 144 in a 4-2. I'd like to go with the 96, but, I'm concerned about the stress on the track from too few studs. Any thoughts? :?

I was torn between 120 and 144. I've decided on 144 in a 4-2 pattern. After all - it's Maine - theres a lot of ice here.
