has anyone had their studs hitting the back of the tunnel on the Attak. Almost hitting the exhaust. Running 162 1.325 down the center. Dealer says should not run then down the center they will hit at high speeds. Does anyone think these should be a warranty item.

Mine hit. You need to add a little meat to the protectors in the rear. Mine hit so bad it broke the casting that is behind the crossover tube. I'm going to weld it up in the off season. I already added extra meat to the protectors and it stopped hitting.

I don't have an attak, but the RX-1 in a 136" is still pretty much the same tunnel config.
I did the EXACT same thing you did. I started with 162, 1.325" center ONLY and started to shred my exhaust shield, and scratched the front cooler. I also caught the die-cast piece and cut that. All of this happend in the first 5-10 miles or so.
I added aluminum strips to the existing protectors, tightened the track, and I continued to demolish the heat shield, and die-cast piece. Once I removed the center most studs and installed them on the outside belts, the damaged stopped.
I would HIGHLY recommend that you follow suit and install either 1/4" or 3/8" X 1" Aluminum strips over top of the existing strips for added protection. I should also point out that you should not run the track too loose either.

you can also bend down the existing protectors as they are mounted on brackets, bend them down about 3/8 inch and then put a block in behind it and rivet it all in to hold them there...i think its easier then adding more to bottom of protector.
