I am running 144. The woodys Traction kit I think it was called. Hooks up great. I have never heard about not running down the middle. If anything I never like the outside cause sometimes they can tear out. I have never had that happen before. I do run a GPS and lost 2mph off my top end. I did not think that was too bad and thought it would be more. I am also running a clutch kit but had that before the studs as well.

I tan 96 doubles up the middle. It hooked up alright. When I studded my ice track I went with 144 in a ^ pattern. That really hooked up! I'm thinking of studding my track but not sure if studding a 1.5 is a good idea. I find the doubles are stronger under pressure.

I went with 144 gold diggers 1.35 down the middle with double ALUM backers
Bender Racing had the best pricing last summer when I ordered. they sent me the track drill, template, studs, and backers.

I wish Mack studs made some for a 1.5 track! They look very durable!

They are pretty stout that is for sure!!! Jim is a great guy to deal with too, pretty much made a kit for what I wanted. Studs, lock nuts, support washers, backers(double/singles), drill bit and template for $330 shipped to my door.
Maybe give him a call nytroman20, he might have some that are not listed on his website.

101mph before studs, 98mph after. It is not the fastest out there. But the low end is a blast!!

I have a 96 pattern in my XTX, which I think works out to 114 studs. I ran a 144 pattern in my Dragon with the 136. No doubt 50% more studs makes a difference in the hook, but it all depends on your needs.
I think I might stud my SKS, and if I do it'll be a light stud job, probably a 72 or 96 pattern as the studs will be more for safety than performance.
Can't find any pics of the 144 pattern I had, but here's a pic of the studded Nytro track.
