studs vs no studs

I've done both, and prefer No Studs and just ride to conditions. If Studded properly though you shouldn't need to worry about pull outs and such. You NEED enough studs to prevent pull outs, If your still spinning on ice you need more! I went the 96 down the middle route on my SX600R and it seemed to work well but I did have quite a few pull outs due to spinning. I'm done with the whole "boy racer" phase and have gone to more of a 50/50 Boondocking / easy trail riding style as is more of a Family thing now for me. I'm going to be trying some Carbide ice screws in my track just for some extra traction while Ice fishing and such.
