Those are all fair points, but they aren't really disadvantages (in my opinion) so much as they are design considerations. My comment you quote assumes the design of the system addresses those concerns.
And if I want to make the same power with a blower that my turbo makes I'll have to run the blower at higher boost, which means higher intake temps., which means easier detonation, which means I need better gas (or less compression), which means $$$.....
Personally, I'll take less heat and more power a fraction of a second later.

thank's aki for the picture . that blower run all the winter here in quebec, and is got problem with traction when he's starting the seasons, have to put a 136" with a lot of stud. low starting rpm too. thebest.
