In the fall of 2005 we did the following mods.....
-Changed the sled from red to blue
-Went from a 136" to a 151" setup
-Narrow mountain ski stance
-Taller handlebar riser
-Excell Exhaust
-Clutching
In the fall of 2007 we did a supercharger install with Vortech blow off valve, modified hood for cold air induction, etc. Now the customer has bought a 2008 Nytro MTX and we will turbo that. At this point we will take the Attak and return it to a 136" setup with the stock wide ski stance as well. Mod list for now is....
-Reinstall 42" a-arms
-Reinstall 136" track, etc
-Front end bushing kit
-Triple head gaskets for running 10 lbs boost on pump gas
And the project begins!

Well we made a little progress today. We'll remove the steering gate and install 42" a-arms, oilite bushing kit, and triple head gaskets first as well as change the engine oil.

And...what kind of boost can you run when going triple gaskets??
Thanks, Bull

The fact that we have produced our own turbo kit for the Nytro MTX made him convert. That and letting him take a test ride didn't hurt either! Main thing is our customer service is 100% and when he ran supercharger we had to rely on others for some parts if they broke or there was a malfunction. With our turbo setup we can support him 100% no matter what.

A little more progress is getting done!
Oilite bushing kit is installed as well as original 42" a-arms & steering rods. Next will be head gasket install!
A-arms removed
Installing rear bulkhead bushings (I put the flange on the a-arm side to take up the extra front to back slop and I also use the new bushing to drive out the old bushing while using the OEM bolt & washer to drive it).
Otherside now!
Bushings again!

A few more pictures of progress....
Head off and looking over the head...
Test fit of the tunnel extension and then trying to figure out how to make the OEM rear heat exchanger fit with the aftermarket tunnel extension and have more room for studs.

Looking good Allen.
When I did the same work fitting my Warrior heat exchanger to my 136" MPI tunnel ext, I cut off the water inlet and outlet tube, and mounted the exchanger flush underneat the tunnel. Then I drilled new holes further back on the tunnel sides to fit the new position, then I used a few short hoses and hose clamps to attach the exchanger to the inlets I had cut off earlier and clamped it all together. I had to buy longer hoses to be able to connect the rear heat exchanger to the running board heat exchangers.

Jan-Ove, I got it all finished up in the rear today. I cut out the area above the heat exchanger where it comes through the tunnel and then cut the mounting tabs off that get riveted to the rear cast piece (where the crossover tube used to get riveted too). This allowed me to slide the heat exchanger up and tilt the rear of it up as well to get it out of the way. I used the original tunnel protectors shimmed down 7/16" at the rear muffler mounting spot and 5/16" at the front muffler mounting spot and it fits in there like it was made to be mounted that way now. Here's a few pictures.
I now have the cylinder head installed and torqued down. Will put the cams and valve cover back on tomorrow and then get the exhaust components reinstalled. Hopefully have all engine, etc done tomorrow and only have to install chaincase/track, and change clutching after that!

Great work Allen, I though of doing it that way but I didn't, seeing your work I wish I would have.
Mine sits a little further back and sits flush with the tunnel top in the front of the exchanger.

The project is almost complete! I have to wait for a new chain to go with the 25/38 gearing and then I can button the rest up!
