Supercharger on 91 octane?

Alright so I've had my RTX for about a year now and have 2000km's on it. I love the way the sled rides and handles but I dearly miss the pull my warrior had. My question is can you run a supercharger on a phazer with 91 octane fuel? I don't nessicarily need 140hp at 11 psi, if I could get away with 7 or 8 psi and have 115-125hp and run 91 I would be very happy. Has anyone done this to there phazer? If so how do you like it and how does a low boost phazer stack up against a stock nytro or 600cc 2 smoke?

there should be no problem runing 91 octane at 7 or 8 psi..... the only issue is, the phazer is a high compression engine so unless ur gona put low comp heads and corrila rods in it i wouldnt recomend goin over 7 or 8 psi even with a higher octane fuel...... my personal opinion....... keep lookn for more info ttyl....

I'd say 5 psi TOPS at sea level, that would be good for about 30hp.

If only 30hp I would consider a NOS kit that engages at WOT.

Could be a clutching nightmare though. What ya do when you got no juice? Haha

If you want to build a turbo/charger setup you're self you can just buy the head gasket from MCX witch lets you run 08-1bar pressure on pump gass.

From what i heard, it's not recomended to rund over 0.4-0.5bar on setups with standard compression.

Since 0.9 gives 142hp on the dyno, on 0.4 you should have a great deal of fun since you'll get more torque on lower rpm(if im not wrong).

MCX has a turbo kit for the nytro, running 0.5 if i'm not wrong, for pump gas and gives about 180 BHP. This is on stock compression.

The "headshim" is a LOUSY way to lower the compression. The reason people loose "snappiness" with a headshim is because it kills what is called the quench area between the piston and the cylinder head. There needs to be a tight gap in those area at TDC to violently squish the air out and improve fuel/air mixing and faster combustion. With a head shim you are doubling or even tripling the distance between the piston and head in these areas drastically slowing down the effect it has which results in poor throttle response and torque at lower RPM. You see alot of guys removing the headshim and running 50/50 mix or straight race gas because of this "bog". The best way, IMO, is to tear the motor apart further and install lower compression pistons.
