2008 Yamaha Nytro
New to the sport. Bought a 2008 Nytro and was putting on a few hours yesterday in NH. End of the day I hit a gully that really smacked the track hard. Checked out everything trail side and visually nothing seemed out of the ordinary with the track, bogi wheels or suspension, but the suspension was non existant. I could lift the rear of the sled and the suspension would extend, then I would let it go and it would sag down 8", I could push it to fully collapsed and release it and it would stay collapsed. I am trying to learn how the suspension works to better diagnose the problem. I suspect the aft shock w/piggy back is nitrogen filled and supports the suspension and I may have blown that. Again, initial inspection showed no oil from the seals of either shock. I am going to have better look tomorrow night, once all the ice is gone!!
Also, is there some sort of matrix that shows the model differences between the FX10X, FX10RTX, FX10RTRX, ETC. ?
Thanks

When you checked the suspension over were you on flat level ground? The rear suspension will collapse easily if this wasn't the case.

Look closely at the torsion springs as they carry most of the weight. The center shock is gas charged but I don't think it will carry much weight. Having said that it could hold your suspension down...

Check your front limiter straps and make sure they are not broken as well. If they broke they will cause a lot of damage.
