Does anyone have a chart refuring to weight and driving style to particular sled model and part #

I want to beef up my sprimg but I want to make sure to get the right one...I weigh 215 lbs/dry,no gear.

No chart that I know of, but I can tell you the heavy duty spring is what you want for your weight and riding style. I would install it in the middle c-clip position.

There are only 3 for the 05 RX-1. Soft, stock, and heavy. You might also want to consider looking into the variable rate 06 springs (probably a heavy rate version).

It sounds like I'm going to end up with an extra heavy duty 05 spring. Give me a call at home in a few days if you're interested in trying it out.

This is not a Yamaha complaint, but rather a complaint about all of the manufacturers in general. Why can you not order your sled with the correct suspension for your weight from the get go? These should be options, and I should not have to buy BOTH springs to get the ones I really want. Same for windshields, tracks, etc...
You mean you want an option for "big boy" sleds like they are doing for fat women? LaLaLa

Just kidding QC. I remember several years ago when Poo had their spring order deal where you could select a lot of different options for your sled, e.g. track lug height, suspension, colour, graphics, etc. You could do it all on-line and at the end, they had a picture of your custom sled that you could download to your PC. It was a really great idea and I was hoping it would catch on with the other manufacturers.

Yamaha OEM Springs 04 Warrior

Hey Mr. Sled,as you now I'm new and don't know a whole lot about the new sled I bought.I was looking into a Ohlins shock set(all 4) for my 04 warrior.pretty pricey should Ijust purchase an OEM Yamaha spring set instead.do you know if they have all 4 springs? if so do you know the part #'s.I go 240 lbs and probably would want the heavier springs.thanks for your help and info BTBG

I think the ability to pre order and get what you want is a good idea. I am on the lighter side and the manufactures make things for the "average" rider weight with some adjustment either way. Anyone over or under a certian weight will suffer with either bottoming out or getting tossed around like a rag doll.
I would think if your on the heavy side you would be asking your dealer to just beef the spring up right from the get go. Yeah it will cost you the few extra bucks but I am sure they can only make these suspensions with so much adjustment one way of the other.
