I have a 2009 Nytro XTX with Hygear rear suspension. it seems that the shock must have finally worn out after 2800 miles so I am Getting the rear rebuilt, however, is there other upgrades that anyone would recommend as i have the skid out. At first glance everything seems to be in good looking condition. I did Replace the hyfax last season and a broken limiter strap as well. the suspension just got really soggy at the end of the season and i just want to make sure that simply having the shock rebuilt is the answer. Any advice is greatly appreciated.

Ok. I looked into this suspension upgrade and is have a few questions.
1. I see they are out of canada, is the delivery pretty quick?
2. In the installation instructions the talk about "people usually pulling a hole in the limiter strap. What does this mean?
3. Pre loading the center shock? How do I know how much to adjust this.

I can't speak for how this will work, but after reading up and hearing how well it worked for others, I am getting this setup for my XTX. I sent my center shock to Star for rebuild and revalve yesterday. I will let you know how quickly they deliver, but they have a mailing address in Vermont and will pickup for faster delivery. They let me know they were About two weeks behind right now.ClydeXTX said:Ok. I looked into this suspension upgrade and is have a few questions.

If you're going that far, send them all 4 shocks, have them revalve everything to work with their kit. That way it's all done at once, no guesswork and everything will work as advertised. They are putting the sleeve on my 09 rear shock and shimming the fronts to drop the front end for better handling. Looking forward to the first ride with the new setup.

Robert was faster rebuilding my shocks than he quoted, shipping my kit and shock out today. So, one week after I shipped them they were done. They sound like they know what the Nytro needs to handle well. He offered his help in setting the sled up after I get it back together. So, front shocks may be a build idea yet this winter or a summer project for next year.
