The center shock is not a QS3, it's a HPG shock. Hygear does offer a Fox custom H1 QS3 center shock for the RTX. Thats what I'm running on my 16 RTX Viper with the straight rate 160 lb. spring. Having a hard time understanding what you mean by super stiff set up. Maybe loosen your front springs some? I am not encountering this on my sled as it rides really good.

You are correct, sorry I wasn’t clear . I am looking to improve ride quality. Initially when I got the sled I had everything set on position 1 springs, shocks etc. even after break in miles it was extremely stiff especially in trail chatter/ studder bumps. I ride with other Vipers/Cats and it was by far the stiffest in the group. Other then completely launching the sled it would not bottom even in position 1. When ridden at moderate speeds in normal trail conditions it would use very little of its suspension travel. I had the rear qs3 softened up and that improved things to the point that i will now use position 2 on springs or shocks after a long day on bumpy trails and they have heated up. That’s only near the end of the season when the shocks are getting to the point of needing a refresh .nothing is bent or binding
Handling is never an issue for me which some complain about . I have sno trackers on Tuner 3 and have it set up with light ski pressure and it turns fantastic .
How much did the Hygear set up improve your ride quality ?

Mine is 129” length not 137” and the 129” are firmer than the 137”

Hygear rebuilt mine last month so i havent tested them yet. I asked them to revalve to be less of a Harsh ride. This is the RTX after all. They do lots of theses and said we know exactly how to set these shocks up. $384 Mine is the 2015 so i changed the front shock spring softer.
I also purchased the lighter torsion springs from Arctic cat. The stock springs are harsh and beter suited for sno X. This coupled with revalve should lighten up the ride.

Replace the stock torsion springs to a softer spring.

It's really hard for me to answer this as I only have a few hundred miles under my belt with this set up. This sled is my back up as my main sled is a tuned winder with QS3'r shocks. But a buddy rode it for 4 days last year and my brother rode it for 2 days last year, both have LTX LE with QS3'r shocks. They both agreed that it rides great with easy steering with a fun factor not matched by there LTX's. I do plan on riding it more this season though as it only has 2200 miles on it, my winder has over 7,000 so it's time to give her a break. Looking forward to getting the Viper ECU tuned up when Thunder Products releases there upgrade flash. How much did the Hygear set up improve your ride quality ?
