Found a whole 2011 Apex XTX for sale at a very reasonable price. I need input into what I would be looking at as far as swapping the Apex motor and EPS into my 2010 RS Venture GT (making it a Venpex?). I do know that my sled has a blocked off fourth hole in the tunnel for the exhaust and that @MrSled does have a write-up here on how to swap the EPS.
Plan would be to swap in the Apex motor and EPS along with the bulkhead and motor mounts, add actual Apex radiator and fan (already retrofitted one before), may need to also swap the front heat exchanger as mine is leaking, then sell the 3 holer and the rest of the Apex in parts.
Or keep my 3 holer and just swap in the EPS (my main reason), or sell the Venture and keep the Ape but I like the Venture's comfort and windshield.
Somebody please talk me out of jumping off the bridge!

I'd be sad parting out a nice Apex though. Maybe I'll try it as-is. I might like it! I just like the comfort of my Venture, basically a sofa with a backrest and huge windshield.
And then there's the wife factor

i have been thinking about doing this with an old rx1 motor i have here in a wrecked chassis as there have been a few 3 holer chassis come up around me for sale with blown motor. after looking at it, i would swap the tunnel over onto the apex xtx bulk head and swap the upper plastic/hood over from the venture with a gauge swap. i would then would use the stock venture muffler with a custom pipe to link to one of the head pipes that eliminate the exup valve. rear handwarmers i would convert so that they run off of a fuse from the battery. other than the side panels and air box lid, it would look like a stock venture until you started the engine.
as an added bonus, the apex xtx rear skid shocks are the same dimensions as your venture ones. same with the fronts. ventures are usually just valved for softer ride.

That would probably work for me too. The windshield mount would also need to be swapped but that shouldn't be difficult.i would swap the tunnel over onto the apex xtx bulk head and swap the upper plastic/hood over from the venture with a gauge swap.

One thing I know nothing about is the EXUP. What would be affected by that? Power? ECU codes? Initial search says I'd lose low end power.
I already have all GYTR adjustable shocks front and rear so already have a nice cushy ride. The Apex has a pair of Fox shocks up front which would fetch a few bucks. I tried a set of those on my MP for a short while and did not like them at all. That means I might not have a pair of Apex springs for the front to go with my GYTRs.as an added bonus, the apex xtx rear skid shocks are the same dimensions as your venture ones. same with the fronts. ventures are usually just valved for softer ride.

i think the wind sheild mount goes with the head lamp pod/mount from when i looked at my brothers 13 gt.

i think it would be negliable. lots of guys run with it locked open or put on the barn of parts header. as long as the motor is there plugged it, it should trip no codes. i suggested the pipe as that would require a tunnel mod to fit the exup box/valve in the venture tunnel i think. never had the venture seat off to look at top of tunnel.
i don't think they ran different springs on the gytr's as one of my sets was run on the front of my brothers 13 venture gt. i just made sure that the a arms where set properly. run that set in rotation on my 11 xtx with my other shock set.I already have all GYTR adjustable shocks front and rear so already have a nice cushy ride.
