I have an 05 Venture that I've bastardized with various suspension parts.

I want more power now.

I have a friend who has an Nytro Motor(including ECU, cables etc..) that I can buy cheap.

Are the Engines the same physical size? Will the exhaust line up?

I have an Excel Header for the Venture Motor already installed.

I would run K&N's so I wouldn't have to worry about the airbox.

Is there any reason this won't work?

Will the Oil tank from the Venture work for the Nytro Motor?

Does EFI require a different fuel pump in the tank?

Thanks

being brand new to sledding i have no experience. but imho it would probably depend on the year of the replacement engine. as for the fuel pump i highly doubt any carbureted pump would work with a EFI. i don't know if the dimensions, mounts etc. are the same on the 973 and 1059 engines which again would depend on the year of the sled the engine came out of.

You would have to swap the tanks yes, your carbed tank would not work. Theoretically it will be a close fit but you will have to make some mods based on the location of various parts. You will need everything from the nytro, best thing is to buy it and strip down everything you need to make it run, and then basically strip down your current carbed set up with everything it needs to run and sell it as a kit for people looking to install into a rev chassis or some other project.
