Probably a simple question, but can't seem to find an answer on here in previous threads. Looking for the most cost effective way to get a bit more floatation on an XTX. Read lots that switching over to the stock MTX ski works well. Can you reuse all of your mounting hardware and loops from the stock XTX skis and simply swap it over to the plain MTX ski? Or would I need to buy more than just the bare skis themselves?

Loops and carbides will work, pads and hardware are different. I have a friend that used the XTX pads in his mtx ski swap and he didn't have any problems. I'm making the swap from pilot 6.9s to mtx skis this fall myself.

You will need to get the spindle tubes, spacers, and bolts. You can usually re-use the ski rubbers, loops and carbides.

you could get Yamaha ski skins 7.5" wide..... they are pretty cheap and well build just put a set on wife's vector. they attach to the bottom of existing ski and retain all hardware.
