I have talked to many people that rode the Attak & have said it does not drive like the Warrior!!!

It feels much lighter, corners like a 121 & over all feels more like a 121!!!

I know there is many on TY that have rode the Attak & a couple of those people have said the same thing!!!

Most have said its like the RX 121 & not the APEX 121s!

If you are a bigger guy &-or not afraid to have to muscle a sled once & a while then the twist & turns shouldn't be a problem!!!

JMO!

GOOD LUCK ON YOUR CHOICE!

BR

Nice post I agree.
The rider forward for 06 on all the 4 cyl sleds has changed everthing.
They all corner a lot better than the respective track length 05 sled models. Plus they all have the monoshock which I feel is the best skid.
Go Apex if your favorite thing is autocross on the tight and twisties. If you want a sled that tracks like a laser guided missle on RR grade trails get the Attak

I just wish it was December so I could go through the twist & turns & rr beds & forest roads!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

"WOW" I CAN NOT WAIT!!!

I did this a couple of months ago when I was comparing which model to get.

Yammi should have wisened up and used tip up rails like Pol - it would have made this one a no-brainer.

I have spent a little time on both - neither corner as well as an 05 RX-1 IMO. But then again my 05 is set up for me and those weren't.

Between the Apex and Attack, the Apex was a bit more comfortable to drive hard in the tight trails. Not to mention you are not going to give up a little top end.

The top end of the Attack was equal to the top end of an 05RX1 - at least with the demo's that is how it was. And when we ran them on the lake - the Attack did not pull the 05 RX off the line either.

Kenlacy,,, If both sleds were stock on the lake from a dead stop, I would believe the sled with the most track on the lake would get a better take off. Hence, would n't the ATTAK be faster from a dead stop??

You would think so- but it wasn't. They were equal from top to bottom - about 3" of fresh stuff on top of packed snow.

When I got to test ride the 06s the Attak was faster from point A to point B every time.. Dont know about top end. Only ran them up to 119 mph on the dream meter.

I appreciate everyones input. I went one step further and I called Kevin at snow-tech magazine. I have called him in the past and he will talk your ear off on any subject you want. I asked him his thoughts on the attack and his comments were.

1. Still is a heavy machine and you will fatigue if you run it through the ditches or really really deep rough trails for long periods of time.

2. Anyone greater than 6 feet tall or over 200 lbs, his feeling is the Attack is the way to go. Better ride as compared to the 121.

3. Handling issues not an issue with the Vector front end.

4. Ride issues not an issue with the Mono.

5. Significantly better ride in normal trail conditions because of the longer track. As a matter of fact he wouldn't let me finish my question about the ride difference between the 136 and 121, he kept saying the 136 was that much better.

6. MINIMAL push in the corners. He said easily fixed with limiter, carbide, skis, etc.

7. Doesn't handle quite as good and the 121 in the very narrow, tight , twisty trails. I though long and hard about the trails I ride and can say that those types of trails and a relatively small percentage of where I ride.

8. He said the corner to corner speed/quickness was just awesome with the added traction with the 136.

9. Much better off trail or in fresh snow on the trail than the 121.

I have never ridden a 136 for any length of time to appreciate its benefits so the attack is a big what if for me. I am going with the attack, but I am still concerned with the weight.

Thanks
Matt
;)!

Matt dont worry about the weight . I, m 62 and weight 160 at tops and wife is 61 and weights about 115 and we got 2 of them comming.

Sounds like a good plan, Matt. As was said, forget all of the BS in the other thread.
Take what everyone said into consideration but keep in kind that its only their opinion. You are the one who will have to ride whatever sled you buy, make sure that it fits your needs.
Im personally really looking foreward to demo riding an Attak next winter. I like the looks of the Attak better but I just dont think that it can handle the tight 'n twistys as well as a 121". I may be wrong, and if I am I will come on here and own up to it.

sxmatt:

Take a look at Maximum Sled World Wide.

The ATTAK really turned some heads and got one test rider real excited.

Maximum Sled test rider Randy Nemitz, broke out his check book and bought one on the spot.

He said it was the best sled he has ever ridden. Pretty powerful statement coming from a guy that didn't start riding yesterday.

The review is all positive with the exception of Dzus fasteners, and some personal preferences.

Those that have ordered ATTAKS will have lots of smiles.

Those that didn't order an ATTAK, read the review with a hanky...

Worth reading, ;)!

Depending how you ride, so I've been told.

If you ride hard through the bumps the Apex is better.
