I can't tell you how big it is compared to an Apex, I never checked. I haven't gone on any long trips yet to warrant carrying a lot of extra stuff yet, but maybe after this weekend, when I might do some ice fishing, I'll let you know.
It would be a good place for extra gloves and drinks as it is warm inside. I can't see a drink freezing up inside there.
No wiring but you need to trim tank cover? What youll notice on the apex is you sink into the seat quite a bit.Apex has a softer foam density.Sit on a nitro as well(same basic seat but firmer foam) and you will notice the difference.Apex MOUNTAIN has the firm foam as well but requires rewiring because the connectors are different from the rx1.
Im 6' tall myself the transision from sitting to standing is much easier with the taller seat.
Also the nitro seat has the correct plugins for the rx1 so you wont have to do any rewireing.

Ok so not a newer nitro....either find a wrp, boss or apex which requires trimming tank cover. This was all very long time ago. I belive it was 05 to 07 nitro. In 2008 Yamaha revised the nitro and that seat is totally different.
