What year if the sled/how many km's, my phazer would overhart every 15 mins with it was new then it just magically went away? Does it have the fan? or possible ice built up a shell over the heat exchanger.
Also on a side note, are the lakes down there already frozen?

How's your coolant level? Shouldn't over-heat on a snowy lake at speed.

With 400 I'm you are still in the break I'm stage. Mine would overheat a lot during the break in but it would of happens from the beginning. The 07 did not come with a fan so thT might be your fix.
I wouldn't hold it wide open until you get more km's on it.

The fan cured my 07's heat problems, but the 1.5" freeride track and adding water wetter to the coolant didn't hurt either.

I had the same problem with my 07 when it was new. Went through the headache of putting a whole new main wire harness on to accept the fan. While I was putting the new harness and fan in I decided it would be a good idea to bleed the coolant system. When I did bleed it I noticed some air bubbles. The overtemp light has not come on once since I did these modifications and have only had the fan kick on twice so far. Basically what i am trying to say is bleed the coolant system first before going installing the fan and see if the overheating goes away. The system is very easy to bleed and only requires that you take off the right cover.
