radta7 you didn't read burmad69 statement very well. You can change a whole bunch of things on a stock class machine if you run ISR rules. Jetting (or tweaking of fuel injection), gearing, ignition timing, clutching, ride heights, suspension springs and shock dampening, windshield heights, track changes (as long as the part number is on the list), and some other things. You can tweak a two-stroke 800 to produce around 10 more HP over stock just with added timing and reduced fuel flow. There's one reason you see a four stroke having trouble beating a smaller two-stroke at the drags. I will guaranty you that stock class drag sled won't get very far on the trail however. Stock racing is no where close to "out of the crate stock" as you think.

you said it well, some dont seem to believe the # those srx are pulling, the clutching on those sleds are spot on,but they are oem weights and springs and helix, dont forget that they run 2000 plus feet to acheive those numbers, plus the radar shows it,that means something passed in front of that radar at that speed,we had a modded t-cat that pulled 131mph the next day,why would i bs something like that, the owner of that sled is 55 years old, lots of experienceKnappAttack said:radta7 you didn't read burmad69 statement very well.
