The Needy Nytro!

nytro vs 1200

I have a 2010 Nytro RTX SE yes Ive spent a fortune on it but its a great sled. I rode a 2013 1200 renegade x and the throttle hesitation sucks sled feels like it falls flat after 70. it was a nice sit down sled for Canada. My Nytro with MPI 180 turbo set up at 6lbs. extended to 144 x 1 3/4" backcountry with 42" Skins front A-arms and ohlins rear shocks is now incredible. I also have the OFT relocate a Great Lakes Riser, tunnel heat exchanger, Prologger gauges, Pilot Skis, Mountaintech full skidplate, WRP plus 2 seat.

Better be a nice sled, you got twenty thousand dollars into it!

nytro turbo

Ive got about as much money into it as a new cat 1100 turbo but it doesn't need a new belt every three hundred miles.

I've got an 08' that is mostly stock and I love it for pounding through rough trails and ditches, yes it is a bit of a work out trail riding, but for me the fun factor makes up for it. Personally the biggest complaint I have/ had with the sled was the learning curve that it had to figure out how to ride it hard through the woods. But like others have said once its set up for you and you learn its subtleties I think the fx chassie is a blast.

Well said, by no means do I have the miles many of you guys do on the Nytro, I just got it, I have heard it take a lot of body English in so many posts and yeah that is true...what hasn't been mentioned is how easy it is to give it body English, it's so easy to move around on this thing it's a different kind of snowmobiling. I'm going to do 2 mods, Arrow Skis because I have them and BDX steering post re=locator because I want to.

I think people need to do there research before they buy a sled. I love the way my NYTRO handles,

I have a 09 FX Nytro, I bought it with 1500k on it now have over 5000. I love this machine came from a doo and never looked back. we ride pretty aggressive and I have this thing handling like a dream carves corners like nothing and the mid range is insane. I have put pilot skis on it set the toe out properly, put in grizztracks gussets (just in case) and copper donuts, this year i installed a smb stage 2 kit, Still better than rebuilding my doo every 2years cause of crappy rings bad bottom end bearings the list goes on. I ride with all doos in our group and everyone who takes my nytro for a ride loves the way it handles, rides and pulls but they are doo diehards and wont admit that they liked the sled but we pulled two doo's of the lake this year cause of blown motors lol. I don't understand why you can only get 80mph mine does just over a 100mph done that a few times now on the radar. Also I'm still on the original belt that came with the sled. you will always read more bad than good head over to dootalk lots of bitching there too. It may not be for everyone but if you are looking for a sled to just get on and ride the nytro may not be a good choice. But everyone is different.

The real crack up is they all think they're going to get a Viper and the 11K OTD price is all it's going to cost...do you really think you're not going to mod that too? Go over to Arctic Chat...bitchin about darting, changing skis, changing idler wheels and all the same wear issues we have. Do your homework, read TY, 6 years of R and D on the Nytros...I made my 07 RS a sled I can't get off of, bet I get the 09 there too.

I noticed that as well, the latest snogoer said the xtx viper was going to have mountian skis.

In response to previous posts.
I did my research on the nytro.
Main reason I grabbed it was price mileage and year when I purchased it used.
Common a clean nytro is 3k less than the same year low mileage apex for the most part.
I had never even ridden a 4stroke till I bought this thing.
I think my 05 mxzx had better handling and ride than a nytro does.
I will try loosening up spring preload.
thanks for all the replys
