Can anyone explain the advantage of these weights for a newb. Isn't back shift is when you let go of the gas?

And then get back on or any time you get on the flipper while already moving.

I did it gents. I ordered the Super Rats. Bender recommended running the Super Rats with my black HC primary spring and 2.5 gram ball loaded in each cavity to start. Then from there either go a larger or go to a smaller ball in each cavity depending on where my rpm's are.......
 
Actually he asked what springs I owned and recommended that one due to its higher spring force than stock spring which I had planned on switching to. Bottlerocket, if your such an expert why don't you recommend a better spring.
 
I think that is very good advice. Alot of the kits are sold with weights already done and no info on how to adjust. Since the machines are different and some ride different than others it is imo not possible to make ONE kit for a model. That is what the oems do and that is what we want to improve...

Im not an expert and the winter is to short for testing. My point is you would think they would have a baseline for a sled such as yours with the testing already done is all. I will watch constant negativity Mike.
 
We have been testing on the track dyno and in the field the super rats since October. These weight's work excellent. You will be very happy with them.
Sometimes with all kits sold on the market, slight tuning is required. Everything from maps, elevation, tracks etc changes the set up.
The businesses that are successful are the ones that help you "fine tune" your kit.

Ok so what spring would you reccomend for the apex 121 scott. And do these weights come with an asortment of ball bearings,so you can fine tune things. Thanks
 
I know they come with several ball bearings (weights) to run in the weight cavities. You can also run multiple ball bearings in each cavity if you want to run lots of weight with a real heavy spring (spring with lots of spring force).

I suppose the trick will be finding the right spring force/ ball bearing weight combo to make these things rail.... :Rockon:
 
lets see some track hp sheets first before I compare them to my 2 speeds or clickers, super torquer literally throws this proof at you and i thought i seen they had some sheets in snow mags. Thanks super sled for being the guinea pig lol.

You actually tested em to prove they rattle more. The little ball does not move until your on the throttle. I tested em a few times & noticed zero rattle.
if you can hear that ball bearing moving 3" at full throttle you got good ears.
