The sled has 26000 km,today for the first time,it wont start,we stopped for a break on the trail, when we decide to get going, turn key, pump cycles then,no cranking,i'm hearing like a whistle sound in the battery area,we tried with jumper cables and still no cranking, but always that whislte or squeaking sound when i try to start it,it started fine with a rope around the clutch,it seems like an electrical problem or the starter is fried,i'm confused to what it might be

Mine sounded exactly like you describe when my starter became misaligned. It was easier to fix than I thought it was going to be.

This morning, gave it a try and the motor turned a half turn,so i'm not sure anymore, would the selenoid cause this, after,it wouldnt turn at all ,very easy to start with a rope though

You could try starting it by jumping the solenoid, but i'm 99% sure the starter bolts have loosened and the body of the starter has rotated out of phase. Getting at the starter by removing the front sub-frame is an excellent way to check for worn out bushings and other wear items in the front end.

Checking solenoid is easy enough just put a wrench between the posts.

you were right, starter bolts came loose,i took it out the fast way, what is the solution now,can you just tighten the bolts and put it back in or what, dont know much about starters

You can see the green line running the length of the main body. Line that up with the marks on the ends of the caps and loctite and re-torque the bolts. It's not a bad idea to disassemble and check the brushes, maybe give the armature a light polish. Also clean any gunk out.

Wow.Make sure you test it before you put it back in.Glad you figured it out.
