Iam trying to decide wether or not to get a nytro. I have and 06 apex rtx, which I love by the way and was wondering if any apex owners that bought nytros are really happy. I love my apex for the power and all around good handleing except for the darting which i here is an issue with the nitros as well.
the decision really depends on the type of riding you do. I have both and enjoy the nytro much more than my attak. I mostly ride x country type stuff, ditches, fields some trail but not much. While the attak is great on the trail, the nytro is better for my type of riding.

Your purchase should depend if you ride Canada or Tug Hill. IMO, the Apex is set up for riding in Canada. those long distance rides you wanna be comfortable and warm. The Nytro has a very nice shock package and is by design better suited for those saturday afternoon rides on Tug Hill when the moguls get to be 2-3 footers. As far as power goes, your goingto have alot of power on the low end with the Nytro, but on the top end with the Apex. Your call, whats your riding style......

The Nytro in my Opinion is a great all around sled once set up properly.
Rails on the trails
Big bumps I can't comment on yet.
Powder it has the power and is light enough.
I think it would be a great transition sled from an Apex.

If you want reliability plus a sled that is fun to ride and fast extremely fast from 0-90 your looking at the right sled. basically it just a better sled for piece of mind

I had an 06 Attak. I loved the sled, kicked myself when I sold it, and it's truly an awesome chassis. However after riding my Nytro RTX now for some 240 miles I'd never trade back. It's the sled I've been waiting for Yamaha to build, and if you ride Tug a lot the RTX really handles the big and nasty easily.
Only issue for me is the left boot getting wet (so make sure you have waterproof boots), and I have to dial down the weight transfer. Slydog ski's and I don't notice a lot of darting. Handwarmers I'm way too active to be cold, but even so I have turned them down in 15 F weather on flat trails.

Most of my riding is x country, local trails and once and a while tughill. I think my main concern is i love drag racing in fields and lakes, who does'nt. It would kill me to get passed by a rev800 or some other big bore sleds. I know that should'nt matter but when guys start talking sh$t its nice to be able to put them in there place. Maybe i'll have to quit racing.
Re: Thinking about getting a nitro
keep the apex you will miss the HP and wait until spring yammi is coming out with a real light weight HP sled.yamaha-423 said:Iam trying to decide wether or not to get a nitro.
